cos θ=((3^2 +((√2))^2 −2^2 )/(2×3×(√2)))=((7(√2))/(12))  ⇒sin θ=((√(46))/(12))  a^2 =3^2 +1^2 −2×3×1 cos (45°+θ)      =10−6 (cos 45° cos θ−sin 45° sin θ)      =10−(6/( (√2))) (((7(√2))/(12))−((√(46))/(12)))      =((13+(√(23)))/2)  ⇒a=((√(2(13+(√(23)))))/2)≈2.983
