cos 3α=p ⇒α=((cos^(−1) p)/3) q=sin α=sin (((cos^(−1) p)/3))

$$\mathrm{cos}\:\mathrm{3}\alpha={p}\:\Rightarrow\alpha=\frac{\mathrm{cos}^{−\mathrm{1}} {p}}{\mathrm{3}} \\ $$$${q}=\mathrm{sin}\:\alpha=\mathrm{sin}\:\left(\frac{\mathrm{cos}^{−\mathrm{1}} {p}}{\mathrm{3}}\right) \\ $$
