2^(−1) =2^(−1) ∗e=2^(−1) ∗(2∗2^(−1) )=2^(−1) ∗(((2×2^(−1) )/4))=2^(−1) ∗(1/4)=((2^(−1) ×(1/4))/4)=(1/(32))

$$\mathrm{2}^{−\mathrm{1}} =\mathrm{2}^{−\mathrm{1}} \ast\mathrm{e}=\mathrm{2}^{−\mathrm{1}} \ast\left(\mathrm{2}\ast\mathrm{2}^{−\mathrm{1}} \right)=\mathrm{2}^{−\mathrm{1}} \ast\left(\frac{\mathrm{2}×\mathrm{2}^{−\mathrm{1}} }{\mathrm{4}}\right)=\mathrm{2}^{−\mathrm{1}} \ast\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{4}}=\frac{\mathrm{2}^{−\mathrm{1}} ×\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{4}}}{\mathrm{4}}=\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{32}} \\ $$

x∗y=((xy)/4) x∗e=((xe)/4)=x ⇒e=4 x∗x^(−1) =((x∙x^(−1) )/4)=e=4 ⇒x∙x^(−1) =4×4=16 ⇒x^(−1) =((16)/x) ⇒2^(−1) =((16)/2)=8

$${x}\ast{y}=\frac{{xy}}{\mathrm{4}} \\ $$$${x}\ast{e}=\frac{{xe}}{\mathrm{4}}={x}\:\Rightarrow{e}=\mathrm{4} \\ $$$${x}\ast{x}^{−\mathrm{1}} =\frac{{x}\centerdot{x}^{−\mathrm{1}} }{\mathrm{4}}={e}=\mathrm{4}\: \\ $$$$\Rightarrow{x}\centerdot{x}^{−\mathrm{1}} =\mathrm{4}×\mathrm{4}=\mathrm{16}\:\Rightarrow{x}^{−\mathrm{1}} =\frac{\mathrm{16}}{{x}} \\ $$$$\Rightarrow\mathrm{2}^{−\mathrm{1}} =\frac{\mathrm{16}}{\mathrm{2}}=\mathrm{8} \\ $$
