Solve :: (√x) + y = 5  , (√y) + x = 3     Solution::    let: a^2  = x    ,   b^2  = y     a+b^2 = 5 →(1)  a^2  + b = 3 →(2) ×(b )  a^2  b + b^2  = 3 b →(3)  (3) − (1) ⇒ a^2 b − a = 3 b − 5 ⇒b = ((a − 5)/(a^2 −3))  a^2  + ((a−5)/(a^2 −3)) = 3 ⇒ a^2 (a^2 −3) + (a−5) = 3 (a^2 −3)  ⇒a^4 −6a^2 + a+ 4 = 0 ⇒ (a−1) (a^3 +a^2 −5a−4)= 0 ⇒ a = 1    ⇒ b = ((1−5)/(1−3)) = ((−4)/(−2)) = 2     ∵ x = a^2  ⇒ x = (1)^2  = 1  ∵ y = b^2  ⇒ y = (2)^2  = 4    ∴ (x,y) = (1,4)    ⟨ M .
